• Which rights are associated with the owner of a domain ?

Also called “Applicant”, he has the highest level of rights. He can update all the technical and administrative parameters referring to his domain name, indicate and change the administrative, technical and invoicing contacts… He is not however authorized to modify the data relating to the identity of the applicant (name and first name for an individual and corporate name for a legal entity). Modification of this data actually corresponding to a change of applicant; he will use for that the appropriate procedure: heading “MANAGE”, “YOUR DOMAIN NAMES”, “TRANSFERS OF PROPERTY ”.

If the domain renewal has not been made by the billing contact, the domain owner will receive raises as defined in the Renewal section of our FAQ (Do you send reminders on approach of expiry ?)

• Which rights are associated with the administrative contact of a domain name ?

He has the same rights as the applicant but will not have access to the applicants update of the coordinates.

He can update all the technical parameters such as DNS or create Web or e-mail redirections.

• Which rights are associated with the invoicing contact of a domain name ?

He is entitled to carry out the renewals of domain names of which he is responsible. He is the person who receives retry e-mails for renewals as defined in the Renewal section of our FAQ (Do you send reminders on approach of expiry ?)

• The responsibilities of the domain name holders

• You must comply with the terms and conditions posted by your Registrar, including applicable policies from your Registrar, the Registry and ICANN.
• You must review your Registrar's current Registration Agreement, along with any updates.
• You will assume sole responsibility for the registration and use of your domain name.
• You must provide accurate information for publication in directories such as WHOIS, and promptly update this to reflect any changes.
• You must respond to inquiries from your Registrar within fifteen (15) days, and keep your Registrar account data current. If you choose to have your domain name registration renew automatically, you must also keep your payment information current.

• Whois Data Reminder Policy (WDRP)

At least annually, a registrar (Registrar) must present the holder of a domain name the current Whois information, and remember that the provision of false Whois information can be a recording of his reason for cancellation domain name. The domain name holders must review their Whois data, and make corrections if necessary.

The Whois Data Reminder Policy (WDRP) was adopted by ICANN in 2003. All registrars accredited by ICANN must comply with WDRP regarding all top level domains for which they are accredited. Details of compliance requirements are provided here.

As owner and administrative contact of a domain name so you receive once a year a reminder email that contains the information you provided when registering your domain name.

• I received a WDRP notice but my information is accurate. do I have to do something to ensure that registered my domain name is not affected ?

No, if you information is accurate, just ignore the mail received.

• I received a WDRP notice but my information is obsolete. How should I do to update my contact information ?

You must edit the contact information from our web site. Home > Manager > Edit contact

• Whois Accuracy Program Specification (WAPS)

WHOIS ACCURACY SPECIFICATION PROGRAM imposed by ICANN RAA2013 aims at validating and controlling the accuracy of Whois information.

As such we send annually a message with a confirmation link that tells us that your email address is still valid and that the information you provided when registering your domain names are still valid.
